So Much Excitement!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

I have so much to report this morning, where shall I start??? Maybe the fact that Bernie and I happened to cross paths with a moose yesterday up at Hard'ack, To say she was close to us is an understatement, she was just barely off the trail. We looked at each other and she seemed rather unphased, even when Bernie decided he could no longer contain his enthusiasm, it was the biggest squirrel he'd ever seen. He managed to position himself between me and the moose and didn't move. I could tell he was more than excited but had no idea what the hell to do. He looked back at me hoping I'd give him a command, I was trying to get my camera as fast as I could before she took off. My pictures aren't great, but I'm still feeling the aftermath of excitement, it was the last thing I expected to see. We've seen deer, fox, owls and traces of the bear, but I had no idea a moose would even venture into the City. I hope she finds her way home....

The moose sighting was just the added bonus yesterday, I'd been counting the days down until my meeting with Andra, YAY!! What else is there to do in the middle of November except start thinking about Spring/Summer 2023, right?? I could forget about the fact that Christmas is only 40 days away and I have the sweater with no pattern to finish before then. Afterall, my porch Christmas lights are up, the turkey is already defrosting for Thanksgiving, what else is there to do?? Let's order Spring yarn!!! Wait until you see what I have planned for your next projects, I can already feel the love and appreciation. Seriously, what would you do without me? I have been sworn to secrecy about the pattern support until the end of January, but I can show you the new yarns. Once again they designed the patterns to be fairly interchangeable with the yarns, so substitutions won't be an issue. I have samples of all the new yarns available for you to see along with new color cards. If there is something you'd like me to bring into the shop, let me know and I'll add it to the order. I will give you one little hint, sock knitting is becoming a "thing" again. I know many of you usually have a pair on the needles at all times, I used to too. I will say I haven't knit a pair of socks in a few years and I haven't had any waiting in the project bag. My attention has been sweaters, sweaters, sweaters!! That said, Berroco has already jumped on the bandwagon and is leading the trend. I did read, last night, in my latest Vogue Knitting isssue, that Stephen West is in the process of converting design elements into socks, so......let's make sure we don't miss the party, there's nothing worse than FOMO.

A gentle reminder that we will be meeting for KAL this Saturday, November 19th 9-11:00. Guess what? I'm ready to steek my sweater!! It is so absolutely, fantastically gorgeous, I'm cringing at the thought of cutting my beautiful handiwork. I'm going to sew it and reinforce the stitches with a crochet edge and then get my trusty scissors out to make the incision. I will do it with confidence as long as I have my KAL gals to support me. Of course Carrie will be filming the entire procedure so I can share the experience with the rest of the virtual world. I hope I don't screw it up, I will swear and have a tantrum for all to see, I have no pride...The good news is, if I screw it up, I won't have to worry about figuring out how to attach the ribbing for the button band and button holes, now isn't that the epitome of a positive attitude?

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday, from 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
