Good Morning Everyone!
This is going to be short and sweet, just like you know who. Wanda arrived yesterday and the adventure began the minute she parked the car. Today, we are en route to Montreal for a day of culture and of course SHOPPING. More specifically, yarn shopping ooh, la, la. Last night we sat on my porch strategizing which sweater(s) we would be buying yarn for. If you saw the size of Wanda's Ravelry library of PURCHASED patterns, you'd wonder how the poor woman sleeps at night. She only brought (5) base colors for her Rheinbeck sweater, she's looking for the contrast. MInd you, she already has yarn for the sweater but isn't quite sure she likes it, I love Wanda. Kathleen is on the lookout for a linen and silk blend, and me, DK linen to knit a Love Note sweater. The weather doesn't appear to be overly cooperative, but at least if it rains, it will help clear out the smoke from the forest fires. Anyone happen to catch last night's sunset? The sun looked like a special effect from Star Wars, a hot pink ball hanging on the horizon.
Tomorrow, we are heading to Sutton to see Lucinda at Mont Tricot, I'll be buying yarn for Caitlin Hunter's Alpine Bloom for certain. There's a good chance that another sweater will end up coming home with me. Totally not my fault, the sweaters she posts on Instagram give me the worst case of FOMO. As a responsible yarn shop owner, I have a certain sense of duty to share with all of you, the latest and greatest designs, in case you missed them. See how helpful I am? Knowledge is power....
If you haven't preordered your Advent Calendar box yet, time is a ticking, the deadline is August 15th, I technically have enough for (5) more. They will need to be prepaid ($160.50 includes tax) and will be ready for pick up in November unless you're Susan, she can't have hers until December 22nd, she opens the entire thing in about 3 days. They are so cute, I am so excited, everything in the box is brand new to the shop.
