Feel Good Fall...

Good Morning Everyone!

You know you have too many sweaters when you stand in front of your wonderful collection and simply cannot decide which one to wear. It's worth mentioning that it's only going to get worse, I have three more on the needles and hundreds that I simply must knit. I honestly struggled yesterday, for like 20 minutes, before my mind settled and I realized I have until next May to wear every single one multiple times. Talk about first world problems. Then I picked the one that Kathleen gifted to me, I've been waiting to wear it. The other thing I noticed while perusing my sweaters, they are all hand knit! I have two ready made sweaters, one cashmere cabled pullover my Mother In Law gave me, the other one, my Mimi purchased at Doolin's circa 1986, no joke. Somewhere in the back of my mind, it's always been my goal to only wear hand knit sweaters. Guess I can cross it off my list.

I finally picked up my Morning Rituals sweater again, I was feeling like I needed to make some serious progress. My intention was to stay ahead of the group so I could answer any questions that may arise. What I have discovered, the yarn presents the biggest challenge, the pattern is very straightforward. I've also learned the yarn is very forgiving, it hides mistakes really well. Where am I going with this??? I have a small section at the SS markers where I reversed the K1, P

1 for a few rows, I'll blame the football game. I know you're all gasping at the thought that I may just leave it there. I admitted the mistake last night at Knitter's Anonymous, there wasn't any judgement, phew. But it is still rattling around in my mind those two stupid stitches. No one will ever notice them, EVER, they are practically undetectable, but here I am, hours later, still thinking about them...Now is the time to place your bets, the answer will be revealed.

I will be getting a nice box from Berroco this week!! The Lanas Light continues to fly out of here, I think my Autumn Alpine and Meissa sweaters are to blame. I also have ordered more Aerial and Vento. If you haven't knit with Vento, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!! This yarn is just delicious! Carrie is knitting the Morning Rituals with it, OMG I WANT IT!! If you've been on the fence about knitting with mohair, this yarn is your Get Out Of Jail Free Card. It creates such a soft, airy fabric that is warm and cozy, just like mohair. The pattern support is stunning, I knit the Leticia Vest, but I'd really like to knit the Esmeray. Speaking of stunning pattern support, have you seen the Leonie vest? It's a FREE pattern from Berroco that uses Millstone Tweed, it's super cute!!! Vests are extremely popular and are perfect for layering https://berroco.com/patterns/leonie/

I have lots of lovely colors in stock, stop by.

Carrie and I have been working on this year's Advent Calendar Boxes, THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! There will be 24 days of patterns, yarns, notions and more, with an option for either knit or crochet patterns (that Carrie is smart). The price is the same as last year's, $150.00, there is a limited quantity so don't wait (I've already sold 3).

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch. Last week I decided to set up the folding chairs in an effort to make more room for everyone. Please continue to bring your chair just in case it's needed. Make it a great day and I hope to see you soon!

Katy
